While recuperating from wartime back injuries at a hospital, veteran Bob Corey is visited on Christmas Eve by a beautiful stranger with an even stranger message. Backfire is a 1950 American English-language Crime Film-Noir motion picture starring Edmond O brien, Virginia Mayo, Gordon Macrae, Dane Clark, Viveca Lindfors, Ed Begley and Clifton Young. Warner Bros. was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Anthony Veiller. Backfire is written by Lawrence B. Marcus, Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts and it is directed by Vincent Sherman. Warner Bros. acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Backfire was released on 11th February 1950 and takes a screen time of 91 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by Ivan Goff, Larry Marcus and Ben Roberts. Cinematography was done by Carl E. Guthrie and editing by Thomas Reilly. The music was composed by Daniele Amfitheatrof.
