Babul is written by Trivikram Srinivas and directed by Govind Moonis and K. Vijaya Bhaskar. Vyjayanthi Movies acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Babul was released on 1st January 1986 and takes a screen time of 173 minutes. Editing was done by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. The music was composed by Ravindra Jain along with Mani Sharma.
