Pocket SQ2 Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Sujith Surendran. The motion picture is written and directed by Shanil Muhammed. Pocket SQ2 Productions acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Aviyal was released on 7th April 2022 and takes a screen time of 125 minutes. Aviyal was made on a budget of ₹3 crore. Cinematography was done by Ravi K. Chandran, Sudeep Elamon, Jimshi Khalid and Gikku Jacob Peter and editing by Rahman Muhammed Ali and Lijo Paul.
