The story follows the tumultuous relationship between two artists, Michael and Gayatri, as they navigate the obstacles of isolation, self-centeredness, and the loss of Michaels eyesight while trying to maintain their passion for each other and their artistic endeavors. Artist is a 2013 Indian Malayalam-language Drama Romance motion picture featuring Fahadh Faasil, Ann Augustine, Sreeram Ramachandran, Sidhartha Siva, Srinda Ashab and Vanitha Krishnachandran. The movie is inspired from Dreams in Prussian Blue by Paritosh Uttam. Sunitha Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) M. Mani. The movie is written and directed by Shyamaprasad. Sunitha Productions acquired the distribution rights for the film. Artist was released on 30th August 2013. Cinematography was done by Shamdat Sainudeen and editing by Vinod Sukumaran. The music was composed by Bijibal. At the 2014 South Filmfare Awards It won an award for Best Actress (Ann Augustine).
