Arthur Christmas

A man named Malcolm Claus inherits the title of Santa Claus, but his son Steve and a team of elves handle most of the gift-giving; however, when a present is accidentally left behind in Poland, Malcolms younger son Arthur, along with his cynical grandfather Grandsanta and an elf named Bryony, embark on a chaotic journey to deliver it, facing obstacles and mistaken identity along the way, ultimately leading Arthur to become the next Santa Claus. Arthur Christmas is a 2011 English-language Animation Adventure motion picture featuring James Mcavoy, Hugh Laurie, Bill Nighy, Jim Broadbent, Imelda Staunton, Ashley Jensen and Chris Stuckmann. Columbia Pictures in association with Aardman Animations and Sony Pictures Animation. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Peter Lord, David Sproxton, Carla Shelley and Steve Pegram. Arthur Christmas is written by Peter Baynham and Sarah Smith and it is directed by Sarah Smith and Barry Cook. Sony Pictures Releasing acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Arthur Christmas was released on 13th January 2012 and takes a screen time of 97 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. Arthur Christmas was made on a budget of $100 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $151 million. Cinematography was done by Jericca Cleland and editing by James Cooper and John Carnochan. The music was composed by Harry Gregson-williams.
