Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa

An entertaining adventurous comedy-drama Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa follows the journey of detective Anwar who works for the 'Inner Eye' detective Agency in Kolkata. He sometimes gets himself into trouble or funny situations since he has a habit of getting involved in the personal lives of the people involved in the cases he is attending. The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui as detective Anwar, in the lead role with Ananya Chatterjee, and Pankaj Tripathi in supporting roles. The Principal photography began in April 2013 and filming took place at the hill village of Shimultala in Bihar The film was written and directed by Buddhadev Dasgupta. The film was produced by Ajay Sharma for Leo Eight Pixmedia and was distributed by Eros International. Interestingly the film initially premiered at two film festivals, the BFI London Film Festival on 17 October 2013, and at the 2013 International Film Festival of Kerala but got a proper release only after seven years. The music was composed by Alokananda Dasgupta. Adept cinematography by Diego Romero and clear cut editing by Amitava Dasgupta makes it a watchable movie. The film was released on Eros Now on 20 November 2020 and occupies screentime of 137 minutes.
