Since 1978, Anvil has become one of heavy metal s most influential yet commercially unsuccessful acts. In 2006, after a fledging European tour Anvil sets out to record their thirteenth album and continue to follow their dreams. Anvil: The Story of Anvil is a 2009 American English-language Documentary Biography movie featuring Anvil, Scott Ian, Lemmy Kilmeister, Malcolm Dome, Lars Ulrich, Slash and Tony Gallo. Anvil: The Story of Anvil was Produced by Sacha Gervasi, Lauren Mcclard, Dana Sano, Christopher Soos and Rebecca Yeldham. Anvil: The Story of Anvil is written by David Norland and directed by Sacha Gervasi. Abramorama acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Anvil: The Story of Anvil was released on 20th February 2009 and takes a screen time of 81 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released.
