Annaamalai and Ashok, childhood friends from different social backgrounds, experience a series of conflicts and betrayals, leading Annaamalai to seek revenge and eventually succeed in becoming wealthier than Ashok, only to forgive him in the end and reconcile their friendship. The movie is inspired from Khudgarz by Rakesh Roshan.
