In 1940s Berlin, a working-class couple decides to resist Hitler and the Nazis by writing postcards urging people to stand against them, ultimately risking their lives and inspiring a Gestapo inspector who is assigned to find the source of the postcards. Alone in Berlin is a 2016 English-language Drama History film starring Emma Thompson, Brendan Gleeson, Daniel Br Hl, Mikael Persbrandt, Daniel Brühl, Louis Hofmann and Ingo Wimmer. The movie is inspired from Every Man Dies Alone by Hans Fallada. X-Filme Creative Pool in association with Master Movies, Filmwave, Path , Buffalo Films, Alone in Berlin Ltd., WS Film, Lipsync Productions and Canal+. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) James Schamus, Stefan Arndt, Uwe Schott, Marco Pacchioni, Christian Grass and Paul Trijbits. Alone in Berlin is written by Vincent P Rez, Achim Von Borries and Bettine Von Borries and it is directed by Vincent P Rez. X-Verleih acquired the distribution rights for the film. Alone in Berlin was released on 29th September 2016 and takes a screen time of 103 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of $1 million. Cinematography was done by Christophe Beaucarne and editing by Fran ois G digier. The music was composed by Academy Award Oscar winner Alexandre Desplat.
