Since he was a child, Aladin Chatterjee has been teased for his fairytale name. As a college student he follows his namesake's footsteps; unleashing genie Genius and wooing exchange student Jasmine. But the evil Ringmaster approaches. Aladin is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language Action Adventure film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Ritesh Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sahil Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Madan Singh. Aladin was Produced by Sujoy Ghosh and Sunil A Lulla. Aladin is written by Vishal Dadlani, Sujoy Ghosh, Suresh Nair and Ritesh Shah and it is directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Eros International acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Aladin was released on 30th October 2009 and takes a screen time of 131 minutes. Aladin was made on a budget of ₹42 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹5 crore. Cinematography was done by Shirsha Roy and editing by Suresh Pai. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Shekhar Ravjiani along with Vishal Dadlani, Vishal-shekhar and Jody J Jenkins. At the 2010 IIFA Awards It won 2 awards including: Best Art Direction and Best Special Effects. At the 2010 IIFA Awards It also won an award for Best Female Debut.
