Entertainment One in association with Sony Pictures Television, Paramount Pictures, Lukas Reiter Productions, AXN Original Productions and Shaw Media. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Bharat S Shah, Narendra Bajaj and Shyam Bajaj. Aksar is written by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan and Sujit Suri and it is directed by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan and Anant Mahadevan. Siddhi Vinayak Creations acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Aksar was released on 3rd February 2006 and takes a screen time of 132 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Aksar was made on a budget of ₹5 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹8 crore. Cinematography was done by K. Raj Kumar and editing by Sanjeev Dutta. The music was composed by Himesh Reshammiya.
