Akasa Kusum

A former film star living a quiet life rents out a room to young film stars for sexual purposes while selling dumplings, meets a popular actress having an affair, and the scandal strengthens their friendship; meanwhile, a pregnant, HIV-positive woman befriends another hostess, and a bar fight leads to the revelation that the former film star is the mother of the pregnant woman, who later passes away and leaves the former film star as the caretaker of her baby girl. The film is written and directed by Prasanna Vithanage. The film has a running time of 90 minutes. Cinematography was done by M.D Mahindapala and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. The music was composed by Lakshman Joseph De Saram. At the 2008 It won an award for Best Actress (Malini Fonseka).
