In a slum, a young girl named Manda is raped and her family, as well as the police, are unable to take action due to their own struggles and the criminals powerful connections, leading her grandmother Ajji to seek revenge and expose the harsh realities of slum life, lack of justice, and corruption. Ajji is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language Drama Crime movie starring Sushama Deshpande, Smita Tambe, Sharvani Suryavanshi, Abhishek Banerjee, Sadiya Siddiqui, Sudhir Pandey and Afreen Shaikh. Yoodlee Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Vikram Mehra and Siddharth Anand Kumar. Ajji is written by Devashish Makhija and Mirat Trivedi and it is directed by Devashish Makhija. PVR Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Ajji was released on 24th November 2017 and takes a screen time of 104 minutes. The film made a box office gross of ₹6 lakh. The screenplay for the movie was written by Devashish Makhija, Mirat Trivedi and Maya Tideman. Cinematography was done by Jishnu Bhattacharjee and editing by Ujjwal Chandra.
