Agni Varsha

In a kingdom experiencing drought, a Brahman named Aravasu falls in love with a tribal girl named Nittilai, but their marriage requires approval from her father and village elders, while Aravasus brother, Paravasu, has been performing a fire sacrifice for rain; however, conflicts arise when Nittilai witnesses an affair between Paravasus wife and another man, leading to a series of tragic events involving demons, murder, and ultimately, the arrival of rain. Agni Varsha is a 2002 Indian Hindi-language Drama Fantasy film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Milind Soman, Kumar Iyengar, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Arun V.s. The movie is inspired from The Fire and the Rain by Girish Karnad. I Dream Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Kashish Bhatnagar. Agni Varsha is written by Anil Mehta and Girish Karnad and it is directed by Arjun Sajnani. Cinebella acquired the distribution rights for the movie.
