A singer named Tapasi is forced into child marriage and years later falls in love with Kiriti, but faces ostracization from the community due to her past. Agni Pareeksha is a 1954 Indian Bengali-language Romance Drama motion picture featuring Uttam Kumar, Suchitra Sen, Chandrabati Devi, Kamal Mitra, Suprova Mukerjee, Jahar Ganguli and Baby Shikha. The movie is inspired from Agni Pariksha by Asha Purna Devi. M. P. Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Tarak Pal. Agni Pareeksha is written by Nitai Bhattacharya, Ashapurna Devi, Bijoy Ghosh, Bibhuti Laha and Ashapoorna Devi and it is directed by Agradoot. D Looks Films Distributors Limited acquired the distribution rights for the film. Agni Pareeksha was released on 3rd September 1954 and takes a screen time of 120 min.
