The movie is directed by Feng Xiaogang. Huayi Brothers acquired the distribution rights for the film. Aftershock was released on 22nd July 2010 and takes a screen time of 135 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Aftershock was made on a budget of $25 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of ¥665 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Su Xiaowei. Cinematography was done by L Yue and editing by Xiao Yang. The music was composed by Wang Liguang.
