The story follows the lives of Mara, a lion cub, and Sita, a cheetah, as they navigate the dangers and challenges of living in the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. African Cats is a 2011 English-language Documentary Adventure motion picture featuring Samuel L. Jackson, Patrick Stewart and Mara. Disneynature in association with Fothergill / Scholey Productions and Silverback Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ryan Tedder, Alix Tidmarsh and Keith Scholey. The movie is directed by Keith Scholey and Alastair Fothergill. Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. African Cats was released on 22nd September 2011 and takes a screen time of 89 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. African Cats was made on a budget of $5 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $30 million. The music was composed by Nicholas Hooper.
