A renowned filmmakers perfect family is disrupted when he falls in love with an actress who resembles his wife, but ultimately realizes that his love for his wife transcends his feelings for the actress, as the movie explores the connection between their relationship and that of a noted theater director and actress from the past, while highlighting the theme of carrying over relationships to the next generation. Abohomaan is a 2010 Indian Bengali-language Drama movie starring Dipankar De, Jisshu Sengupta, Mamata Shankar, Riya Sen, Ananya Chatterjee, Dipankar Dey and Sova Sen. Abohomaan was Produced by Mahesh Ramanathan, Big Pictures and Jay Dev Banerjee. Abohomaan is written by Rituparno Ghosh and Madhuchhanda Karlekar and it is directed by Rituparno Ghosh. Reliance BIG Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Abohomaan was released on 22nd January 2010 and takes a screen time of 122 minutes. Cinematography was done by Avik Mukhopadhyay and editing by Arghyakamal Mitra. The music was composed by Sanjoy Das along with 21 Grams. At the 2010 National Film Awards It won an award for Best Direction. At the 2010 National Film Awards It also won 2 awards including: Best Actress (Ananya Chatterjee) and Best Regional Film (Bengali).
