Raaj Kamal Films International was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) S. Chandrahasan and Kamal Haasan. Aakrosh is written by Anjan Choudhury and Kajal Majumdar and it is directed by Sujit Guha and P. C. Sreeram. Raaj Kamal Films International acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Aakrosh was released on 19th September 1989 in Tamil and Telugu languages and takes a screen time of 143 minutes. Aakrosh was made on a budget of ₹4 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹2 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Kamal Haasan. Cinematography was done by P. C.
