Dia, a choreographer from New York, returns to her hometown to save her deceased dance teachers abandoned theatre, facing obstacles and spreading hope with the help of her old friend and a local MP. Aaja Nachle is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language Drama Family motion picture starring Madhuri Dixit, Konkona Sen Sharma, Akshaye Khanna, Jugal Hansraj, Kunal Kapoor, Darshan Jariwala and Divyendu Sharma. Yash Raj Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Aditya Chopra. Aaja Nachle is written by Aditya Chopra, Jaideep Sahni and Piyush Mishra and it is directed by Anil Mehta. Sony Pictures Networks India acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Aaja Nachle was released on 30th November 2007 and takes a screen time of 146 min. Aaja Nachle was made on a budget of ₹20 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹14 crore. Cinematography was done by K. U. Mohanan and editing by Ritesh Soni. The music was composed by Filmfare Award winner Salim Merchant along with Sulaiman Merchant and Salim Sulaiman.
