Aa Rathri

Ravi and Indu, a happily married couple with a daughter named Minimol, embark on a journey to Indus orphanage where they encounter various trials and challenges, including false testimonies in court, tragic suicides, a repentant witness-turned-fish seller, a runaway girl seeking shelter, and the kidnapping of Indu that leads to a chain of events where Ravi seeks revenge with the unexpected help of Indus long-lost brother, resulting in the demise of the criminals and Minimols departure with Radha and Venu. Aa Rathri is a 1983 Indian Malayalam-language Drama Family motion picture featuring Mammootty, Poornima Jayaram, M. G. Soman, Lalu Alex, M.g. Soman, Rohini and Kothuku Nanappan. Jubilee Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Joy Thomas Shakthikulangara and Joy Thomas. Aa Rathri is written by Kaloor Dennis and Joy Thomas Shakthikulangara and it is directed by Joshiy. Jubilee Productions acquired the distribution rights for the film. Aa Rathri was released on 23rd April 1983. The Film was successful at box office. Aa Rathri was made on a budget of ₹40 lakh and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹1 crore. Editing was done by K. Sankunni. The music was composed by National Award winner Ilaiyaraaja.
