A Thousand and One

After being released from prison, Inez de la Paz reunites with her son Terry in Harlem, but their relationship becomes strained when Terry learns that his earliest memory is of Inez abandoning him, leading Inez to take Terry and raise him herself, moving frequently until they can afford an apartment, while Inez arranges false documents for Terry and enrolls him in school, reconnecting with her ex-boyfriend Lucky for support; however, their stability is shattered when Terrys forged documents are exposed, leading Inez to flee and Terry to discover that she wasnt his biological mother. A Thousand and One was Produced by Eddie Vaisman, Julia Lebedev, Lena Waithe, Rishi Rajani and Brad Weston. The film is written and directed by A.v. Rockwell. Focus Features acquired the distribution rights for the movie. A Thousand and One was released on 31st March 2023 and takes a screen time of 116 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of $3 million. Cinematography was done by Eric K. Yue and editing by Sabine Hoffman and Kristan Sprague. The music was composed by Gary Gunn.
