24 a 2016 science-fiction film was written and directed by Vikram K. Kumar. This film features Suriya Sivakumar in the lead role along with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Nithya Menen, Saranya Ponvannan, Ajay in supporting roles. Suriya has performed his stunts in the movie and has risked his life by jumping from a moving train to shoot a scene from the film. This is the first film in which Suriya has performed a triple role. A war between a scientist’s son and his uncle for a time-traveling watch forms the basis of the story. The film was produced by Suriya Sivakumar. The music was composed by AR Rahman. Prawin Pudi and Tirru and Kiran Deohan served as the editor and cinematographer respectively. It was released on 5th May 2016 and has a running time of 164 minutes. The film was made on a budget of ₹70 crore and it grossed ₹105 crores at the box office. At 2017 South Filmfare Awards received an award for Best Actor critics choice (Suriya Sivakumar) and Best Cinematography. At the 2017 National Film Awards, it received 2 awards including Best Cinematography and Best Production Design. A U certificate for the movie was provided by the Censor board
