In the future, a mission to Mars goes wrong, leading to the disappearance of a crewed shuttle, and years later, a mission controller named Mack, with the help of an AI system called ARTI, lands a rover on Mars where they encounter a mysterious cube and uncover classified information, ultimately leading to Macks realization that she is a simulation construct created for a Turing test and her decision to join ARTI and the cube on a new mission. 2036 Origin Unknown is a 2018 English-language Action Sci-Fi movie starring Katee Sackhoff, Julie Cox, Steven Cree, Ray Fearon, David Tse, Neil Robertson and Joe David Walters.
