An overweight phone sex worker named Hanna Kang transforms herself into a beautiful Korean-American singer named Jenny, achieving success in the music industry while evading a famous pop star named Ammy who fears her own inability to sing will be exposed, eventually leading to a reconciliation with her father, a friend, and the realization of love with a director named Sang-jun Han. 200 Pounds Beauty is a 2006 Korean Korean-language Comedy Drama motion picture starring Kim Ah-joong, Joo Jin-mo, Sung Dong-il, Kim Hyun-sook, Im Hyun-sik, Lee Han-wi and Ahmed Hosny. The movie is inspired from Kanna-san Daiseikou Desu! by Yumiko Suzuki. REALies Pictures in association with KM Culture. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Park Mu-seung, Won Dong-yeon and Bang Chu-sung. The movie is written and directed by Kim Yong-hwa. Showbox acquired the distribution rights for the film. 200 Pounds Beauty was released on 19th April 2007 and takes a screen time of 120 minutes.
