A fascinating sci-fi action flick 2.0 follows the conflict between Chitti, the once dismantled humanoid robot, and Pakshi Rajan, a former ornithologist who seeks vengeance upon cell phone users to prevent avian population decline. The film stars Rajinikanth in the lead role along with Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in pivotal roles and Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Kalabhavan Shajohn, and K. Ganesh in supporting roles. It is the standalone sequel of the 2010 film Enthiran. The film was written and directed by S. Shankar and the dialogues were written by Madhan Karky. It was produced by A. Subaskaran under the banner of Lyca Productions and was distributed by Lyca Productions, Dharma Productions, and AA Films. The music was composed by A. R. Rahman and the lyrics were written by Madhan Karky and Na. Muthukumar. Adept cinematography by Nirav Shah and clear cut editing by Anthony makes it a watchable movie. The movie was released on 29 November 2018 and occupies a screentime of 147 minutes. A UA certificate for the movie was provided by the Censor Board. The film 2.0 is the second highest-grossing film in India and is the fifth highest-grossing Indian film worldwide.
