In a corrupt Ming dynasty, Jinyiwei Commander Qinglong becomes a fugitive after discovering a plot to legitimize Prince Qings authority with a stolen Imperial Seal, but sacrifices himself to stop the plan and save the Justice Security Service. 14 Blades is a 2010 Mandarin-language Action History movie featuring Donnie Yen, Zhao Wei, Sammo Hung, Wu Chun, Kate Tsui, Qi Yuwu and Kei Gambit. Visualizer Film Productions in association with Shanghai Film Group, Mediacorp Raintree Pictures, Western Movie Group, Desen International Media, Beijing ShengShi Huarui Film Investment & Management, Donlord Skykee Film Investment, Shenzhen Shenguang M were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Wang Tianyun and Susanna Tsang. 14 Blades is written by Daniel Lee, Abe Kwong, Mak Tin-shu, Lau Ho-leung and Chan Siu-cheung and it is directed by Daniel Lee. Arclight Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. 14 Blades was released on 4th February 2010 and takes a screen time of 114 minutes. 14 Blades was made on a budget of $20 million and at the box office it grossed only $3 million. Cinematography was done by Tony Cheung and Sunny Tsang and editing by Cheung Ka-fai and Tang Man-to. The music was composed by Henry Lai Wan-man.
