Shawn Levy (born July 23, 1968) is a Canadian film director, producer, and actor. He directed the films Big Fat Liar (2002), Just Married (2003), Cheaper by the Dozen (2003), The Pink Panther (2006), Night at the Museum (2006), Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009), Date Night (2010), Real Steel (2011), The Internship (2013), This Is Where I Leave You (2014) and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb (2014). Since 2016, he has been an executive producer on the Netflix original series Stranger Things and directed two episodes of the first season, as well as being slated to direct two episodes of the upcoming second season. Levy was a producer on the 2016 sci-fi film Arrival, which resulted in him receiving an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture.
