She is currently a member of American contemporary R&B group En Vogue. Bennett started out doing voice overs and industrial films, before moving into professional theatre and television. Before joining the cast of The Jamie Foxx Show, Rhona was a cast member of the Disney Channel's variety show The All-New Mickey Mouse Club. She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta sorority.
