Nigel Martin Evans (born 10 November 1957) is a British politician. Since 1992, he has been Member of Parliament for the Ribble Valley constituency, representing the Conservative Party. He was First Deputy Chairman of Ways and Means, one of the Speaker's three deputies, from 2010 until his resignation in 2013, after allegations of sexual assault. After a spell as an Independent, he was acquitted of the charges and returned to the Conservative Party in 2014.
