Nagraj Manjule is an Indian filmmaker and screenwriter known for film Sairat and his first short film Pistulya for which he received National Film Award in Non-Feature Film category. Manjule published a book of poetry in Marathi titled 'Unhachya Katavirudhha (उन्हाच्या कटाविरुध्) which won the Bhairuratan Damani Sahitya Puraskar. At the 61st National Film Awards, Fandry won the Indira Gandhi Award for Best First Film of a Director.
