Melissa Louise Kite (born 1972) is a journalist, and current columnist for The Spectator. She has also written articles for several other newspapers, including the Daily Mail, and was deputy political editor of The Sunday Telegraph until March 2011. She appeared as a panelist on the 22 March 2012 edition of the BBC television programme Question Time which was broadcast from the coastal town of Grimsby in North East Lincolnshire. In March 2013, she published Real Life: One Woman’s Guide to Love, Men and Other Everyday Disasters, based partly on her personal experience of an abusive relationship. In 2015, Kite's memoir The Art of Not Having it All was published by St. Martin's Press. In April 2019 she appeared on Channel 4 News alongside Peter Oborne. She accused him of lying about voting for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union after Oborne claimed he had changed his mind.
