Jill Dougherty (born in 1949) is an American journalist who has worked as an anchor and foreign affairs correspondent for CNN for more than 30 years. She was part of the CNN team that won the 1993 American Journalism Review Award for Best White House Coverage. Dougherty began her career as a Russian-language broadcaster and writer for Voice of America, the USSR Division. After three decades at CNN, she left in 2013, but remained a foreign affairs correspondent as an independent consultant. Based at the network’s Washington, D.C., bureau, Dougherty covers U.S. foreign policy.
