Jasmin Dizdar (born 8 June 1961) is a British-Bosnian film director, screenwriter and author best known for his multi-award-winning feature film Beautiful People and his World War Two thriller Chosen starring Harvey Keitel. Jasmin Dizdar received the highest honor from Pulitzer Prize-winning American film critic Roger Ebert who selected Beautiful People in his The New York Times Guide to The Best 1,000 Movies Ever Made. Jasmin Dizdar also published a book on cinema, which achieved a high volume of sales, with over 50,000 copies sold. His distinctive filmmaking signature includes unflaggingly inventive uses of montage, sound and music where coincidences are often both funny and horrific, iconoclastic dry wit humor and imaginative rich storytelling.
