Edgar "Blue" Washington (12 February 1898 – 15 September 1970), was an American actor and played for a few years as a pitcher and first baseman in the Negro Leagues for the Chicago American Giants and the Kansas City Monarchs. He appeared in 74 films between 1919 and 1957. He appears as Clarence, a comic sidekick, with John Wayne in the 1933 film Haunted Gold. He was born in Los Angeles, California, United States and died in Los Angeles, California.
